After you change the battery (or batteries) in a heart telemetry device, then document it in CareConnect.

Per OH. GUI.P-128.002 “Telemetry/Cardiac Monitoring”, telemetry battery life is to be checked each shift and changed as needed unless utilizing the portable SpO2 function of the telemetry unit. If the SpO2 function is utilized, the battery must be changed every 8 hours. Documentation should reflect when the battery is changed in a portable telemetry unit.
